Who am I?
I am a computer programmer who loves a challenge. I am most fulfilled when projects contain material which cause me to challenge my programming style. In my field, learning never ends. I spend quite a bit of time reading up on new styles of programming and new additions to the languages in which I program.

I recently made the move from the city to San Jose. Family is very important to me and my spouse and we have concentrated on that aspect of our lives heavily for the last 4 years or so. Having found that a great deal of our time was spent on the road, we moved closer to our jobs--thus affording us more time with each other before and after work instead of spending that time commuting. To some, this is strange. We moved farther from our extended family in order to spend more time with them. To us, it is simple. The less time we spend on the road, the more time we can spend with each other during the week. During the weekends, we escape to the 'burbs and get to spend more time with our extended families.

This is the reason that I ask for any jobs to be in the immediate area. If you look on a map of San Jose, draw a circle with a radius of 15 miles from the center of town. That is it. That is as far as I wish to go. Anything outside that circle would have to be an excellent opportunity indeed. Feel free to discuss opportunities--but please keep that in mind.
